Once the consultation and examination have been performed and the doctor has determined that Chiropractic care is right for you, your doctor may decide that it is necessary to take x-rays. X-rays are performed for 2 main reasons. First, to make sure that there is nothing present with your condition that would require a referral to a different doctor, examples would include a tumor or fracture. Second, we take x-rays to get a clear picture of exactly what type of spinal misalignments you have and what levels of degeneration may be present. This helps us determine exactly what you need from us to get better.
